40 celtic tile kitchen backsplash
So originally I was going to do it myself, but 1. I’ve been working NON stop these last few months and I barely have the time to do basic things and 2. I kind of… Chickened out lol I contacted someone for tile work, I have all the supplies and tile, the work area is about 30 sq ft. I was quoted $1200-1500. I told them that was out of budget for me unfortunately at the moment for a kitchen tiling job but is that normal? I still plan on getting 2-3 more quotes and if not take some time off to do... Hi, I wanted to install an over the range microwave. I removed the current range hood and found out it was only mounted to under the cabinet and not to the wall. The microwave requires me to screw a mount to the back wall into the studs. But my wall is filled with backsplash tiles. How do I find the studs? Thank you for your help! I am redoing my kitchen back splash and putting an accent tile frame with a different tile inside the frame. My question is what do I do first? Do I do all the surrounding tile then the frame then the inside tile? I've just finished installing my kitchen backsplash this weekend (haven't grouted yet) and I'm wondering what the cleanest way to finish the outside edge is, where the tile meets drywall. For better or worse I left the rough edge of the tile showing. Given its current state, how would you finish... Trying to find a reasonably priced professional to install a backsplash in my condo which is in zip code 92110. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Celtic tile kitchen backsplash. I’ve never painted over something like this, so I’m not sure how to approach it. Degloss and primer? I think it’s too thick for a vinyl covering, and removing it seems impossible. I know I need to caulk at the sink edge also. I plan to cover the green paint with a warm taupe grey color also. Is it ok to use mastic for this application? Ref Mapei type 1 tile adhesive. Any tips or tricks? First-timer.
